This project involved remodeling a second floor. The ceiling is vaulted with open collar ties. All windows were replaced and a skylight was installed in the bathroom. The radiator in the hallway was removed and capped. The radiator in the bathroom was moved further back into the attic space to provide more space in the bathroom. A high velocity central air conditioning unit was installed in the attic. Spray foam insulation was installed on all exterior walls, and fiberglass insulation was used in interior bathroom walls for sound-deadening purposes. The L-shaped half wall around the stairs was replaced with a removable open stair railing with spindles and handrails. Built-in cabinets and a changing table for a baby was installed in the nursery. Floors were carpeted. A new toilet, tub faucet, two vanity sinks, and two lavatory faucets will be installed in the bath, which also included a tile floor and vanity cabinet.
