The owners of this 1982 two story home located in Eden Prairie were desperate to remodel their upstairs bathroom! After living with a bathroom that was pink top to bottom for years, they wanted to create a soothing get away. Glossy biscuit subway tile was used throughout to create a clean yet calming effect. A brown, clear & white crackled glass accent tile added a touch of sparkle to the space. Porcelain tile made to look like slate was used on the floor. The client wanted to eliminate the step up to the bathtub and add in a tile niche for shower supplies. With exterior walls on two sides the niche had to go into the plumbing wall, which meant re-routing plumbing around it, but when finished created a beautiful feature wall in the shower/tub. The overall design goal was achieved by updating the space and creating a tranquil escape to start and finish the owners day.
