A leaky clawfoot tub inspired a bathroom remodel in this Lynnhurst neighborhood home in South Minneapolis. Castle gut the bathroom to the studs to repair the plumbing for a fresh start. The homeowners opted to remove the storage cabinet above the radiator and go back to a single sink for a more open, classic feel. The clawfoot tub was exchanged for a soaking tub with jets. The dark vanity with cararra marble top is a statement piece in the otherwise light bathroom. The cararra pattern continues in the shower and is complimented by two glass accent tiles. The laundry chute in the bench was a priority, so we re-created a replica of the existing bench. As a final touch, a towel rack placed above the radiator will ensure a cozy, warm towel after bathing.
