Additions & 2nd Floors
Featured Projects 1
This new addition added approximately 75 square feet to the main level, which allowed for modification of the kitchen and the addition of a dinette and mudroom. All new custom trim was used, from base trim and window casing inside the home to exterior dentil molding to complement the overall appearance of the covered back entry. Another important detail was the matching of the existing stucco exterior to the new stucco of the addition. New Marvin windows were installed in the addition with a grid pattern to mimic the windows in the rest of the house. Every last detail was taken into consideration to make this new addition flow with the existing home while at the same time providing new modern conveniences.

Featured Project 4
This project removed an existing garage and added a family room and 3/4 bath where the attached garage was located. The remodeled space is approximately 12' x 18' and also contains a bump-out for a fireplace on the west side of the room. An arched opening was framed in between the existing living room and new family room. Stucco was installed on the exterior that matched the texture and color of the existing stucco. The roof, soffits, fascia and crown were installed to match the home. Three new double-hung wood windows were installed on the front of the new family room as well as an awning window on each side of the fireplace. The addition was insulated with spray foam insulation.

Featured Project 5
This second floor addition consisting of a third bathroom and fourth bedroom had been on the owners' minds for years. They had sketched a concept for the space and had come to the conclusion that part of the existing 2nd floor bath and much of an already small bedroom would be lost to create a hallway to the newly added space. Our final plan gave them a large open master bedroom, a 3/4 bath, and a walk-in closet with ample storage space. The bedroom that lost space to the new hallway gained back space from a new shed dormer, making it one of the largest bedrooms in the home. The owners did most of the demolition, including removing the roof of the existing first floor addition, which saved them nearly $4,000 in demolition costs. Throughout the project, the scope grew to include turning the unfinished attic space into a play area for the children. This included adding a window in the peak of the front gable to bring more natural light into the play space.
