The homeowners of this 1907 St. Paul Victorian were looking to remove the existing Jack and Jill bathroom, which originally connected the master bedroom and guest room, and turn it into a master bath suite. By closing off the guest bedroom door, a walk-in closet was created off the bathroom, maximizing the suite as a whole. The ceramic floor tile with diamond inlay was outdated, and in turn was replaced with a classic gray and white basket weave Carrera. The tub was replaced with a standing shower and updated fixtures, as well as a recessed niche Carrera slab marble shelving unit and bench seat.  The vanity was extended to become a his-and-hers, creating more space for both homeowners to get ready in the morning. The room has a large existing window, creating wonderful natural light throughout the day. To bring in warmer light, sconces were added on either side of the vanity mirrors. Walls were painted a subtle blue-grey, accenting the Carrera marble countertops. The room as a whole is now open and airy, reinforcing the suite atmosphere desired.
