The Kitchen in this 1926 home in Minneapolis was in need of some major updating. Working within the existing space we gut the kitchen down to the studs. Hardwood floors were installed & matched to the existing wood floors in the adjacent Dining Room. New natural oak cabinets & dark laminate countertops were also installed. The homeowner opted for a single bowl sink because of the addition of a dishwasher. The sink remained in the existing location, while the range was moved to allow for the dishwasher & more counter space on either side of the range & sink. The existing window at the back of the Kitchen was expanded & new Kolbe windows were installed there & above the sink. The project was finished off with a warm green paint color & some great red accents the homeowner found.
