Project Description: Wanting to change the layout of the kitchen and update the look to be more modern the clients entrusted Castle to come up with design ideas for their uniquely sized and uniquely shaped space. The kitchen was last remodeled to be customized to the last homeowners. The current homeowners almost never used a large space which had a built-in bench and desk. A new layout offers a wider opening between the Kitchen and Dining Room, shifts the direction which the peninsula faces. At the backdrop of the kitchen is a wide built-in buffet fit with a beverage fridge and open shelving that hosts plants, accessories and art.

Loren Schirber

Owner

In 2008, after significant growth, Loren acquired Castle Building & Remodeling from his father. Loren continued to grow Castle Building & Remodeling by opening more neighborhood design studios and through unique marketing strategies. Loren is passionate about sustainable remodeling and design and educating homeowners about the remodeling process.

John Weber

Director of Sales

John has been in construction sales for over 20 years. He sold and worked in most facets of residential remodeling, new construction, and commercial construction. Working at Castle allows John to focus on the thing he loves most about the construction process: and that’s talking with every new Castle client about their project and then watching our designers and crews bring those projects to life!

Just like John’s wife Theresa, he has lived in Minnesota his whole life. They have two beautiful daughters who he says are growing too fast!! Their daughter Rose stays busy on the softball field all year while their youngest, Grace, loves to spend summers riding horses as often as possible. Lots of variety!
