The homeowners of this St. Paul home enjoyed their existing kitchen space but wanted to update it and add a few details to make it truly their own. First we added a new kitchen island with 30″ deep work surface and 12″ deep raised seating area. This new island not only creates more work and seating space but serves as a transitional piece from the kitchen to the dining room. The cabinets were chosen to match existing cabinets and keep the overall kitchen’s original appearance. The homeowners enjoy entertaining, and while the existing bar, that was originally an entertainment center, was great there were a few modifications they desired to maximize its potential. A new sink was installed as well as new Silestone countertop. Finally, the wall mounted shelves were modified to make bar more functional.
