This Bloomington home was looking for an update to their only bath. The top priority of the homeowners was to transform the tub/shower into just a shower for functionality purposes. Of course, when changing the function of the bath, you might as well change the aesthetic of the bath as well.
For safety, ADA grab bars were installed for easy grip and comfort to provide additional support. They also blend in smoothly with the other fixtures without calling attention to itself. A wall mounted fold up seat is easily accessible to assist the client’s needs and adds a pop of warmth to the shower.
To utilize the maximum space, the designer put in a niche for shower items so that a shelf would not be projecting into the space. The accent tile within the niche ties together with the floor creating a harmonious look. The two shelves are made of Silestone Quartz matching the vanity counter and the fixtures are in polished chrome.
Overall, this family bathroom was created primarily with functionality purposes in mind, but was able to create a spa like feel for the homeowners to enjoy.
